We are currently hiring certified Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) for temporary assignments on construction and roadwork sites. The TCP will be responsible for directing traffic safely and efficiently around work zones while ensuring the safety of workers, pedestrians, and the public.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and control traffic flow using stop/slow paddles and hand signals
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control signage and equipment
- Ensure the safety of construction crews, pedestrians, and motorists
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and crew members
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control methods as needed
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies at all times
- Maintain a high level of awareness in active and potentially hazardous environments
Requirements:
- Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification (required)
- Previous traffic control or construction site experience is an asset
- Strong understanding of road safety and traffic control procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Excellent communication and situational awareness
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work on short notice
- Steel-toe boots and required PPE (high-visibility vest, hard hat)
- Reliable transportation to various job sites
Work Conditions:
- Temporary and on-call assignments
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Long periods of standing and high attention to surroundings
- Day shifts, with occasional evening or weekend work
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- Weekly pay
